Featured Interview Don Hawk (VP of Business Affairs, Speedway Motorsports Inc.)

Don Hawk, Vice President of Business Affairs for Speedway Motorsports Inc., will be a featured interview on Wind Tunnel this Sunday June 20th. As a veteran of the motorsports industry, Hawk served as general manager of Alan Kulwicki Racing in 1992, the year the underdog team won the CUP title. He then moved on to become president of Dale Earnhardt Incorporated where he helped position DEI as a championship contender in both the Nationwide and Sprint CUP Series.

And after a stint as NASCAR’s Director of Regional Racing Development, Don went to work for Bruton Smith’s Speedway Motorsports where he currently oversees, among other things, U.S. Legend Cars International. In just a few weeks, Hawk and his group will be hosting the Legends Million at Charlotte Motor Speedway which will see $250,000 go to the A-Main winner.

Featured Interview Josh Hayes (AMA SuperBike Title Contender)

AMA SuperBike title contender, Josh Hayes, will also be a featured guest on Wind Tunnel this Sunday. Josh is currently 2nd in the standings with 3 wins on the year riding his Graves Motorsports Yamaha R1. His name is also on the short list to help Yamaha fill their void in MotoGP when series champ Valentino Rossi broke his leg earlier this month.

Last Call Mattias Ekstrom (2-time German Touring Car Champ)

2-time German Touring Car Champion, Mattias Ekstrom, will be Wind Tunnel’s Last Call this Sunday. Ekstrom will be making his Sprint CUP Series debut at Sonoma this week, driving the 83 car for Red Bull Racing.
