Quick Trim to back Rahal

Quick Trim® and Rahal Letterman Racing joined forces at this year’s Indianapolis 500 to make a big splash with Graham Rahal driving an Indy Car for his father for the first time, qualifying seventh and overcoming a disputed blocking call to finish 12th.

A diet system marketed and promoted by Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Quick Trim® quickly realized the benefits of competing in the Indy Car Series with RLR and Graham Rahal, and announced Tuesday that it would continue its partnership for five more races in the 2010 season.

Rahal Letterman Racing had intended to continue running its own #30 Quick Trim Honda/Dallara/Firestone Indy Car with Graham, but a number of the proposed race dates were direct conflicts with the team’s American Le Mans Series efforts with the BMW Rahal Letterman Racing Team M3, where it currently leads the GT Manufacturer Point Standings. Therefore, the team loaned the sponsorship to Newman/Haas Racing for those events, ensuring that Quick Trim® would have a presence in the series and that Graham would continue to have a competitive car in the latter races of the season.

“Obviously when we first started discussing continuing the partnership, all of our efforts were based on us running our car with Graham and the guys at Rahal Letterman Racing," said team co-owner Bobby Rahal. “The entire team really answered the bell at Indy by putting together a great car, and off the track the Quick Trim® story gained a lot of attention and gave the company nearly a 500 percent return-of-investment on its sponsorship dollars.

“But when it came down to it, we had to make sure that any effort we made did not detract from our BMW ALMS program, and to do that was going to be cost-prohibitive," Rahal continued. “So in the interest of doing what was best for the sponsor, for Graham and for the sport, we reached out to our friends at Newman/Haas Racing. I must also add that this would not have been possible without the efforts of TopSpeed Management and its CEO Brian Marks, who was instrumental in making this partnership happen."

The #02 Quick Trim-sponsored car fielded by Newman/Haas Racing will make its debut this coming weekend at Toronto, with subsequent races to follow at Infineon Raceway, Chicago, Motegi and Homestead. Rahal Letterman Racing has also committed to fund Graham with NHR at Mid-Ohio August 6-8, as Quick Trim® is currently not a part of that race weekend.

“I am so excited to be able to watch Graham Rahal drive the Quick Trim® Indy Car again," said Quick Trim® spokesperson Kim Kardashian. “I can't wait to see him race and I am looking forward to seeing the QuickTrim® car throughout the season!"
