2010 Brickyard 400 notebook
The Brickyard Beach Bash will start at 10 a.m. off Shaw Drive, near Turn 3, in the IMS infield. It's open to all ticket holders, reserved or general admission.
Playboy Playmate AJ Alexander will serve as host of the Beach Bash, which also will include beer pong, beach volleyball, music from DJ Metrognome and more.
Bathing suits are encouraged for all Beach Bash partiers!
Another fun spot to party on Race Day is the HANK FM Party Stand in Sections 46 and 47 of the Northeast Vista Backstretch reserved seating area.
Tickets for the Party Stand are $49.50 each and also provide access to the Country 97.1 HANK FM Party Area behind the Party Stand. Fun activities at the Party Area include beanbag toss, beer pong and a DJ playing live music.

Win Brickyard 400 autographed helmet: A lucky fan will win a prized piece of motorsports memorabilia – a helmet signed by the starting field of the 2010 Brickyard 400 – as part of the "Gear Up Sweepstakes" from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Fans can enter the contest for free by visiting www.indianapolismotorspeedway.com/gearup or by texting HELMET to 76060 (individual data rates apply to texted entries). The contest is open until 11:59 p.m. (ET) Saturday, July 31. One entry per day is permitted.
Entrants must be age 18 or older and a United States resident. Other rules can be found on the online entry page.
The winner will be announced Aug. 6, shortly after the Brickyard 400 on Sunday, July 25 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Driver signatures on the helmet are subject to change.
Fans also can enter the second part of the "Gear Up Sweepstakes," from Aug. 1-Oct. 15, to win a helmet signed by the starting field of the Red Bull Indianapolis GP MotoGP race Aug. 29 at IMS. Entry details are the same as the Brickyard 400 part of the contest.

Classic Brickyards: Brickyard 400 fans can get pumped up for this year's race July 25 by watching highlights of past NASCAR classics from IMS on ESPN Classic.
ESPN Classic will show highlights of the 1998 Brickyard 400, won by Jeff Gordon, at 2 p.m. (ET) Monday, July 19.
A Brickyard Marathon will run through the night starting Friday night, July 23. Highlights from the 1995 race, won by Dale Earnhardt, will start the marathon at 8 p.m., followed at 10 p.m. by the 2008 race, won by Jimmie Johnson. Highlights from the 2009 race, won by Johnson, will air at midnight, followed by the 2007 race won by Tony Stewart at 2 a.m. Saturday, July 24.
The Marathon will end with highlights from the inaugural Brickyard 400 in 1994, won by Gordon, at 4 a.m.
