Hockenheim weather update

Although the word ‘rain’ has been mentioned prior to many race weekends this season, chances appear to be high ahead of the German Grand Prix at Hockenheim.

With the Formula 1 fraternity arriving at the circuit on Thursday afternoon, team personnel and media have been greeted by a cloudy day although conditions remain dry.

However, according to local and international forecasts, a chance of heavy showers is possible between today and Saturday, although race day is expected to remain dry.

The last rain-affected German Grand Prix saw Ferrari's Rubens Barrichello win for the first time ten years ago, although the new-for-2002 Hockenheim track is yet to witness a wet race.
