Force India to keep Mercedes engines – Haug
It was reported from Spa-Francorchamps last week that Red Bull could be set to switch from Renault power next year, with Force India to lose its current Mercedes deal.
The Silverstone based team immediately denied the story, insisting it has a valid contract with Mercedes until the end of 2012.
Also contrary to the reports, the Silverstone based team said its payments to Mercedes are up to date "and always will be".
Mercedes' motor racing vice president Haug confirmed: "Mr. (Vijay) Mallya is exemplary with the payment of his bills.
"We have no plans to change our customers," the German added to Auto Motor und Sport.
And Helmut Marko drove a final nail into the speculation about Red Bull being supplied by the peer-leading Mercedes V8 engine next year.
"The way we are loved by Mercedes," said the Austrian sarcastically, "I cannot image us getting their engines."
