Robby Gordon to run off-road race this weekend

Robby Gordon is scheduled to run in the Traxxas TORC Series race at Crandon Off Road International Raceway, running in the PRO 2WD class. Gordon raced in the World Championship race last year. After starting on the pole, he led several laps and was poised for the win, but a late-race incident took him out of contention. He finished with style, however, after getting hit near the AMSOIL Finish Line, crossing the stripe in reverse. "I am looking forward to competing this weekend for the second year in a row at Crandon," said Gordon, who nearly won the NASCAR Nationwide Series race this past weekend in Montreal. "In 2009, we qualified on the pole and finished sixth bouncing back and forth between Atlanta and Crandon. In 2010, I am excited to bring the Speed Factory and Polaris PRO 2 to compete for the entire race weekend activities. Crandon is place that I love to come to race as the track is wide and fast and provides plenty of opportunity for exciting racing." This weekend, champions in all the PRO and Sportsman divisions will be crowned and race fans can see it live via online streaming and information about the series/schedule at TORCSeries.com. TORC PR
