Renault F1 team picks up minor sponsor
Renault F1 has announced that it will be sponsored by Russian vodka producer Flagman for the remainder of the 2010 season. The deal comes through Vitaly Petrov’s role at the team, as the country’s first ever Grand Prix driver, this year.
Flagman has now established itself as a leading brand for the highly popular distilled alcoholic beverage in Russia, having been launched in 1998.
Nowadays, the company enjoy annual sales of over three million cases.
“We are delighted to welcome Flagman vodka to the Renault F1 Team for the remaining races of the 2010 season," commented team Chairman Gérard Lopez.
“We have worked hard this year to develop new relationships in Russia and we are pleased to see this effort bearing fruit."
