Cars free to be worked on before ‘new’ qualifying

No car will enter Parc Fermé conditions following the failed attempt to get qualifying underway at Suzuka on Saturday, meaning that teams are free to work on their vehicles until after the rescheduled session on Sunday morning.

Usually, all cars are placed immediately under Parc Fermé conditions in their respective garages – surveyed by the FIA with CCTV cameras – between qualifying and the race although, with no qualifying having taken place so far, this will not apply today.

Parc Fermé conditions will apply as usual after the 10am qualifying session on Sunday morning, though, with no work able to be done before the race begins.
