Francis joins Kahne at Red Bull in 2011

Crew chief Kenny Francis will join Kasey Kahne at Red Bull Racing in 2011, Francis and Kahne confirmed to ESPN.com Sunday. "Of course he's coming," Kahne said with a grin, following a fourth-place finish in the Pepsi Max 400 at Auto Club Speedway. Francis confirmed the move amid the clanging of wrenches during post-race teardown, but chose not to comment further. "I'm going, but that's all I want to say right now," he said. Kahne signed a one-year contract with Red Bull, and in 2012 will move to Hendrick Motorsports. Red Bull sources said myriad scenarios — answers they won't have until later — will decide Francis' future past 2011. He could stay at Red Bull, or he could go with Kahne to Hendrick, sources said.
