NASCAR Charlotte TV Ratings
UPDATE The live telecast on ABC of the Sprint Cup Series race Saturday night from Charlotte Motor Speedway earned a final national rating of 3.2, an 8.6 percent drop from the 3.5 on ABC in 2009, according to the network. The telecast Saturday averaged 5,345,135 viewers and earned the highest rating so far in the Chase For The Sprint Cup. The ratings drop in the first four races of the Chase had been more than 20 percent for each event and 27 percent on average.
ESPN2’s live telecast of the Nationwide Series race Friday at Charlotte earned a 1.3, off slightly from the 1.4 a year ago on ESPN2.
10/18/10 The overnight TV rating for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Bank of America 500 on ABC Saturday night was a 2.9, down 3.4% from last year's overnight rating of 3.0/6 Share, also on ABC.
