Baltimore GP inks hotel deals
The inaugural event will take place on September 2-4, 2011 and feature the IZOD IndyCar Series, as well as the American Le Mans Series.“The Baltimore Grand Prix will be a destination event over the 2011 Labor Day Weekend, so having these hotels along the race course as major sponsors is a tremendous development for the Grand Prix," stated Jay Davidson, President of the BGP. “As key sponsors of the race, these hotels will be integral partners for the event and will be great host locations for our drivers, teams, fans and all traveling to Baltimore for this event."Three of the hotels, the Hilton, Hyatt and Sheraton, all sit within the two-mile racetrack, while the InterContinental and Marriott are positioned just outside the course. The Hilton Baltimore Hotel lies in the Inner Harbor district and is connected to the Baltimore Convention Center, adjacent to Camden Yards and across from M&T Bank Stadium. The Hyatt Regency is an urban contemporary hotel that is just steps from Convention Center and other local attractions. Also connected to the Convention Center and just blocks from Camden yards is the Sheraton Inner Harbor Hotel.  Located along Light Street, the InterContinental Harbor Court offers panoramic harbor views of the Inner harbor, and the Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor is located on the west side of the Inner Harbor. Hotels have already begun working with race teams and fans to book rooms for next year’s Labor Day weekend.
