Williams completes 2011 lineup with Maldonado

(GMM) Pastor Maldonado will make his formula one debut with Williams in 2011, the famous British team announced on Wednesday.

The Venezuelan and new GP2 champion completes the team's driver lineup for next season alongside Rubens Barrichello.

"We are very much looking forward to developing his talent over the winter and a fruitful season with him next year," said team boss and co-owner Sir Frank Williams.

The last Venezuelan in F1 was Johnny Cecotto in 1984.

"I will be looking to get some good results in return for the support my country has given me to help get me to this position today," said Maldonado, 25.
