Williamson wins McLaren test

Lewis Williamson won the McLaren Autosport BRDC award on Sunday which earns him a Formula 1 test with the McLaren Formula 1 team. Williamson also won £100,000, full membership of the BRDC, a TW Steel watch, Puma racewear for a year, and the offer of media training with BBC's Lee McKenzie.

Speaking after winning the BRDC award Williamson said: “What do you say? I'm just in shock. I went up there and just did what I've done all year; give it 100 per cent. That's all you can do. When I was told I was in the final six, I was at work and I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I was in shock then and I broke down in tears, so to win…"

In October Williamson joined GP3 team Atech for a day of testing at Estoril and participated in a World Series by Renault test at Aragon.
