Kubica tries new Renault on for size

As the new Renault F1 car nears completion, one of the final pieces of the jigsaw is fitting the driver in the car. And that’s exactly what has been happening at Enstone recently as Robert Kubica met with his engineers for a preliminary seat-fit in the mock-up chassis.

Of course, the new Renault has been designed around Robert, but it makes sense to check that it’s a good fit. That’s why he squeezed into the mock-up cockpit to check dimensions and all-important driver comfort.

After trying the car for size, the Polish driver headed over to the wind tunnel to see the guys who are currently working on the designs that will be on the car in Bahrain next March. He had a chat with the guys for a progress report and inspected the latest version of the model. Renault PR
