Bobby Rahal Joins ‘Pros 4 Vets’ Athlete Lineup

Always active in the community since his retirement as a championship-winning driver, three-time Indy Car and 1986 Indianapolis 500 champion Bobby Rahal is now pledging his support to a more nationwide cause.

Rahal has joined with Pros 4 Vets to lend his support to a national network of professionals that work to raise awareness of the issues faced by veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families. The Oklahoma-based organization brings together professionals from all fields, including athletes, musicians, lawyers and doctors, and has a roster of athletes that includes Super Bowl-winning coach Barry Switzer and NFL stars Roy Williams and Tommie Harris.

“Myself and my family have always had great respect for those men and women that have served in the armed forces," said Rahal, who co-owns Rahal Letterman Lanigan, winners of the 2010 American Le Mans Series GT Team and Manufacturer championships. “I am honored to lend my support to Pros 4 Vets and to provide assistance in their quest to provide services to veterans and their families."

Pros 4 Vets strives to raise awareness of the issues faced by vets and their families and to provide continued and long-term support. Among these issues are unprecedented numbers of men and women with post-traumatic stress disorder, undiagnosed traumatic brain injuries, and substance abuse problems. Homelessness and suicides among our nation's veterans are also reaching critical levels. Pros 4 Vets uses the star power of the professionals involved to bring these issues to light and convince the public to take action.

In addition to raising awareness of the issues vets face, Pros 4 Vets also provides much needed support to vets and their families. From free legal assistance to free medical clinics, the professionals with Pros 4 Vets use their talents and apply the training in their respective fields to help in any way they can.
