In addition, the four-day trip will feature guided tours, VIP access to the Parade of Drivers in downtown Le Mans and other exciting benefits surrounding the 79th running of the world’s most famous auto race.

Fans can visit any of the following sites to preregister for the contest which opens April 15 – americanlemans.com, racetowincorvette.com or autoweek.com. Those who do will receive a link to the official registration site where they can also find the official contest rules.

The Le Mans sweepstakes is one of the most revered in sports. It originated in 2008.

“How do you sum up this type of experience?" said 2009 winners Jeff and Colleen Kehler of Columbia, SC. “We think of it as one of the most memorable experiences in our lives, right up there with those indelibly etched into our memories – getting married, birth of a child, winning the (sweepstakes). These are all events we will never forget. It was a trip to motor racing nirvana."

Ed and Debra Hughes, 2010 winners from San Diego, echoed those sentiments.

“We were truly blessed to have experienced this spectacle from a VIP insider’s vantage point. We were introduced to some great people who showed us extraordinary hospitality."

The winner for the 2012 Corvette-AutoWeek Le Mans Sweepstakes will be chosen through a random drawing on or about July 1.
