Dreyer & Reinbold Racing Announces Partnership With SH Racing

Dreyer & Reinbold Racing announced today that they will join forces with SH Racing to run Tomas Scheckter in the Baltimore Grand Prix on September 1st. The team will prepare the No. 07 Redline Xtreme Machine that will be in the very recognizable blue shattered glass livery for the inaugural event.

"We are really excited to be partnering with SH Racing and to have Tomas back with us in Baltimore. We feel we've prepared an on-track product in 2011 on road and street courses that were capable of wins and numerous podiums, which we look to continue at the inaugural Baltimore Grand Prix. We'd like to welcome Sulli and TJ to our team and look forward to growing together in the future," stated Dennis Reinbold, Dreyer & Reinbold Racing Co-Owner.

Based in Dallas, TX, SH Racing was formed in 2010 by sponsorship veteran James "Sulli" Sullivan and VPX Vice President of Sales, TJ Humphreys, to field an entry in the 2011 Indianapolis 500 and beyond. SH Racing finished 8th place in the 100th anniversary Indy 500 and plans to continue future growth within the IZOD IndyCar series.

"It's no secret that Dreyer & Reinbold built cars have undeniable performance on road and street courses," said SH Racing Principal James "Sulli" Sullivan. "Their technical prowess combined Scheckter's "go forward" driving style should make for a great partnership on the streets of Baltimore," added Sulli.

Scheckter came on board with DRR in 2009 competing at ten races for the team. He earned three top-ten finishes (6th- Iowa, 8th – Chicago, 9th- Miami). He ran with DRR last year for four events, including the Indianapolis 500. Scheckter also substituted for Wilson last weekend in New Hampshire.

"I'm really happy that we could partner SH Racing and DRR for the inaugural Baltimore Grand Prix. It's going to be a tough race having not been on the road courses yet this year. Justin Wilson has done some great work on the road and street courses this season, so I'm very confident we will have the tools to do well. For me, the goal is to gain as much experience and seat time as possible to post a solid result for the No. 07 Redline Xtreme Machine," said Scheckter.

SH Racing with Dreyer & Reinbold Racing will be on track at Infineon Raceway this Thursday testing Scheckter in preparation for the Baltimore Grand Prix.
