UPDATE The final TV rating for the NASCAR Nationwide Series at Watkins Glen last Saturday on ESPN was a 1.3 with 1.913 million viewers watching.

08/17/11 Watkins Glen TV Ratings: ESPN's live telecast of the rain-delayed NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Watkins Glen International on Monday, Aug. 15, earned a national household coverage rating of 1.6, averaging 1,896,000 viewers, according to the Nielsen Company. The race was originally scheduled to be run on Sunday, Aug. 14, but was postponed until 10 a.m. Monday morning because of rain. ESPN televised a similarly rain-delayed race at Watkins Glen in 2009 and that race earned a 1.7 rating when run on a Monday. The last two years that the race has been run and televised as scheduled, 2010 and 2008, it earned a 3.6 rating.
