Castroneves buys Ft. Lauderdale home ahead of IndyCar race

Perhaps in anticipation of the planned/rumored IndyCar race in this town, Helio Castroneves bought a four-bedroom, three-bath home at 325 Seven Isles Drive in Fort Lauderdale from Marc Schoenfeld and Lydia Schoenfeld for $1.1 million on July 26.

The Schoenfelds paid $2.036 million for the property in June 2005. The 4,825-square-foot house, which was built in 1972, is in Fort Lauderdale East. It is located in the Seven Isles subdivision.

Castroneves a native of Sao Paulo, Brazil, is a race car driver under Team Penske. He races in the IndyCar series. According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 4,570 sales in Fort Lauderdale during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $156,456.
