NASCAR to hold fuel injection test
NASCAR will hold fuel injection tests Oct. 18 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Oct. 20 at Talladega Superspeedway and Oct. 30 at Martinsville Speedway. Teams will be allowed to test fuel injection Oct. 4-5 at the open Phoenix test but with the other three tests already scheduled, they might not trek that far. These will be the first industry-wide, open tests since July in Kentucky.
NASCAR will implement fuel injection starting with the 2012 Daytona 500. NASCAR plans to have three days of open testing in January at Daytona so all teams have plenty of time to prepare. Fuel injection is only coming to the Sprint Cup Series. Scenedaily.com
