Danica Patrick likens NASCAR to driving a van

Q: You've been racing IndyCars, which are close to state-of-the-art vehicles, and now you'll be driving much heavier, less sophisticated NASCAR Chevrolets. Can you describe the difference between driving the two?

Danica: It's the difference between driving a sports car and driving a van. That's how amazing an IndyCar is. Sports cars and vans all drive on the same roads, but an IndyCar and a NASCAR stock car could never compete against each other. IndyCars have wings that generate more downforce than the car weighs, so they do really, really amazing things. Chicago Tribune
