3,000 people to improve Indian circuit
Some 3,000 people (peasants?) will be drafted into India’s Buddh International Circuit in order to make improvements ahead of next year’s second Formula 1 race at the venue.
“Over 3,000 people are being moved in to make improvements to the BIC based on teams’ feedback – fantastic commitment from Jaypee (event organizer and promoter) to Indian Grand Prix!" Team Lotus reserve driver Karun Chandhok explained via Twitter, having worked closely with Jaypee Sports for the past two years.
One planned improvement is to the trackside curbs, with Felipe Massa having twice broken his front suspension by hitting what are known as ‘negative Vallelungas’.
