Did Dallara mimic 1981 CART IndyCar?
UPDATE Another reader (Dan Gurney's son) writes, Not sure where Kurt Wilhelm was in 1981 but he obviously wasn't paying attention. Look up the 1981 Pepsi Challenger AAR Indy Eagle and see for yourself. It was one of the best if not THE best car on the grid that year. Everyone at AAR is extremely proud of that car and anyone who raced it will tell you the same. Ask Rocky Moran and Geoff Brabham what they thought of it on a road course. It didn't matter if it was at Indy or Michigan or the Glen or Riverside it was a force to be reckoned with! Justin Gurney

A reader writes, Dear AR1.com, Is the new Dallara really new? Or is it a rehash of the 1981 Eagle (pictured right), seen here in Indy qualifying in 1982 driven by Desire Wilson?
It did not work very well then either. Kurt Wilhelm
