Heidfeld to race Toyota in WEC and LeMans

REBELLION Racing is pleased to announce that Nick Heidfeld will drive one of the team’s Lola-Toyota LMP1 coupés during the FIA World Endurance Championship opening rounds and the 80th Le Mans 24 Hours.
The former Formula One German driver, will race for the Swiss team at Sebring 12 Hours, Spa 6 Hours and the legendary Le Mans 24 Hours.
Nick will share the seat of the #12 Lola-Toyota with Neel Jani and Nicolas Prost.
Nick Heidfeld, 34, started 183 Formula 1 Grand Prix reaching the podium on 13 occasions. He began in Formula One at Prost GP in 2000 before moving onto Sauber (2001-2003), Jordan, (2004) Williams (2005), then BMW Sauber (2006-2009). In 2010 Nick was Mercedes GP third driver and Pirelli test driver and had a part season (five races) with Sauber. In 2011 Nick was a Lotus-Renault driver.

Nick Heidfeld had one Le Mans 24 Hours start in 1999 with AMG-Mercedes factory squad with the #5 Mercedes CLR.

Since I did Le Mans in 1999 I always knew that I wanted to come back to endurance racing.
