IndyCar rides now part of Super Bowl festivities
The Super Cars, IndyCars painted in the colors and logos of all the NFL teams, are a bigger hit than expected, according to a man who helped prepare them.
Scott Jasek, co-owner of the Indy Racing Experience, is adding to the innovation, starting Friday.
The Indy Racing Experience will offer rides in his company's two-seater. For $20, Super Bowl fans can sit in the back seat of a stretched, street-legal IndyCar and enjoy a ride around the town of Speedway.
Jasek said the rides will be offered from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday. The rides start and finish at the Indy Racing Experience offices in the new Dallara factory, 1201 Main St., Speedway.
It's a way for people to get a taste of IndyCar racing without reaching the extreme speeds of his two-seater rides on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway track. The street-legal rides, he said, abide by the town’s posted speed limits.
