Pino Trivellato dies

Many of you younger folks probably do not know him, but earlier this week Jacopo Trivellato died at age of 76. He was a famous Fiat Abarth tuner in Italy, but he also founded his own F3 team and entered Chevron and March F3 cars. He was the man behind a lot of great Italian drivers!

With Trivellato the likes of Emmanuelle Pirro, Gerhard Berger, Beppe Gabbiani, Siegfried Stohr, and Elio de Angelis shot to prominence. Riccardo Patrese won the European F3 Championship in 1976 for Trivellato Racing with a Trivellato entered Chevron. "Without him I even could not have started my career" Roberto Ravaglia told the Italian Press.

His F3 team won the Italian title in 1973, 1976, 1977 and 1978.
