Rain alters weekend schedule at Watkins Glen

Rain early in the day Friday canceled a scheduled Sprint Cup practice at Watkins Glen International, forcing NASCAR officials to add a final practice for Saturday morning.

The additional practice is scheduled to run from 8 a.m. to 9:25 a.m. ET at the 2.45-mile road course. It will be followed at 9:35 a.m. ET by qualifying for the Zippo 200 At The Glen — the Nationwide Series race that will be run later in the day at 2:15 p.m. ET.

Qualifying for Sunday's Cup race, the Finger Lakes 355, is scheduled to begin at 11:40 a.m. ET Saturday.
