Video: In true NASCAR style, Larson spins opponent in order to win
Kyle Larson found a new (dirty) way to win a race Monday night at Daytona Int’l Speedway.
The open-wheel standout turned stock car racer drove a battered and bruised late model to victory in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series portion of the inaugural UNOH Battle of the Beach.
Larson was running second with the checkered flag in the air when, in true NASCAR style, he punted leader C.E. Falk out of the way and drove to the $15,000 triumph.
“This is a pretty big race and I wanted to be the first to win it," Larson said.
Larson, who finished second in Saturday’s ARCA Racing Series event on the superspeedway at Daytona Int’l Speedway, won a USAC midget race at nearby New Smyrna Speedway on Sunday night.
