Dixon to be guest of honor at Detroit Pistons game

DETROIT, Mich. (February 21, 2014) Â- The Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix and Palace Sports & Entertainment (PS&E) are teaming up for "Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix Night" at The Palace of Auburn Hills on Wednesday, March 5 as the Detroit Pistons take on the Chicago Bulls. Reigning IndyCar Series champion and 2012 Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix winner Scott Dixon will be the guest of honor as he will participate in activities before and during the game that evening.

Fans will be able to purchase a special Pistons "Drive to Detroit" Ticket Package for the March 5 game. The $80 ticket package includes two game tickets, two postgame shots on the court, two autographed photos and a meet and greet with Dixon, IndyCar's winningest active driver and the 2013 IndyCar Series champion. Any fan that attends the March 5 Pistons game will also receive a $5 discount on the purchase of any single-day admission ticket to the 2014 Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix, held May 30-June 1.

To celebrate this special Grand Prix-themed evening at The Palace, "Drive to Detroit" ticket holders will have the opportunity to meet and get autographs from Dixon, the veteran Target Chip Ganassi Racing driver who will race the No. 9 Chevrolet IndyCar this season. The 2008 Indy 500 winner who has earned 33 victories in his illustrious career, Dixon will participate in pre-game and in-game activities with the Pistons that evening. Fans in attendance will also have the opportunity to see the Grand Prix IndyCar on display and get a picture with the Astor Cup, the IndyCar Series championship trophy won by Dixon, along with the first-place trophy that will be presented to one of the winners of this year's series races Â- the Chevrolet Indy Dual in Detroit presented by Quicken Loans.
