John Cummiskey Racing starting USF2000 team
“I couldn’t be more excited than to get going with the 2014 season and our entry back into American open-wheel racing," said John Cummiskey, owner of JCR. “I’ve always wanted to field my own team and am fortunate to be able to put this together with the support of Mazda and Andersen Promotions. This is a huge step forward for the organization and I’m really looking forward to the challenge," added John Cummiskey.
The 2014 season will mark John Cummiskey’s 25th year in open wheel racing, having worked for some of the most recognized names in motorsports including Penske Racing, Team Green/Andretti Green, Newman-Haas, Dragon Racing and Chip Ganassi Racing as a mechanic and team manager.
JCR is current in discussions with a number of young drivers and will be announcing driver and sponsor lineups very shortly. “I’d like to work with a few up and coming young drivers that can showcase the same level of passion and professionalism that I’ve come to appreciate over the years. JCR looks forward to a strong effort in the USF2000 series and we have quite a bit to offer to the right individual wanting to grow his or her racing career," added Cummiskey.
