POSITION TITLE: Senior Director, Marketing

DEPARTMENT: INDYCAR Marketing
REPORTS TO: Chief Marketing Officer
POSITION LOCATION: INDYCAR, Corporate Offices
FLSA STATUS: Exempt

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Provide leadership for business functions including brand marketing, driver marketing, consumer marketing and event marketing.
  • With the Chief Marketing Officer, supervises a Marketing staff as assigned.
  • Develop and implement INDYCAR brand positioning and ensure activities which support the Company’s positioning.
  • Ability and experience in project management, including event activation and measurement of events.
  • Lead a team whose purpose is to promote the sport of INDYCAR racing to current and potential fans to increase the frequency of attendance and television viewership of the races
  • Develops, proposes and implements marketing strategies and programs, market research, market planning, forecasting, budgeting, and monitoring functions that create and enhance value of the league, its teams and drivers.
  • Meet with race promoters, teams, sponsors, broadcasters and other partners to develop customized, synergistic promotional programs that leverage each other’s assets.
  • Coordinate INDYCAR strategic initiatives with business leaders in Sales, Public Relations, Television Production, Broadcast Relations, and Operations groups.
  • Represent INDYCAR by attending or speaking at member and industry events and professional organizations
  • Enthusiasm for and commitment to the corporation and the Vision, Mission and Values.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

10-15 years of business marketing experience, preferably in the motorsports, sports or entertainment business.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent experience required, MBA preferred.
Must have experience in the successful development and implementation of core sports marketing activities.
Familiarity with consumer promotional programs, retail promotional programs and sport entities are important.
Ability to travel to all INDYCAR events, both nationally and internationally.

POSITION TITLE: Fieldshop Supervisor

DEPARTMENT: IMS Productions
REPORTS TO: Director of Engineering
POSITION LOCATION: Brickyard Plaza
FLSA STATUS: Exempt

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Assist in receiving, delivering and transferring equipment/items and coordinates repair of damaged equipment.
Shipping, receiving and tracking of equipment.
Maintain proper equipment and supplies inventory, location and accurate counts.
Assist with preventative and corrective maintenance of digital and analog television equipment to component level if applicable.
Assist with loading/unloading remote television trucks.
Clean and maintain field shop, supplies, tools, equipment and storage areas to ensure a safe environment.
Transport equipment to local events as needed.
Additional duties assigned by IMSP leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical training.
Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds. Will be required to lift, bend and stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to maneuver on ladders and stairs loading and unloading.
Must be able to operate warehouse/shop equipment not limited to forklift, pallet jack, drill, trucks/vans.
Must have a valid Driver’s license.
Must have experience using Microsoft Office products.
Must be available to work nights and weekends including some travel if needed.
