Mazda Road to Indy driver Herta wins in Malaysia

Verizon IndyCar Series team owner Bryan Herta presented his son, Colton, the first-place trophy Sept. 13 following Race 1 of the AsiaCup Series races in Sepang, Malaysia.

Herta, 14, of Valencia, Calif., posted two top-five finishes in 12 Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda races this past season.

Herta, who will test a USF2000 car for Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing on Sept. 29 at Sebring International Raceway, added two runner-up finishes during the weekend of racing with Formula BMW cars.
