NASCAR Loudon TV Ratings
The rating was the same as for last year’s race but viewership was up from last year’s 3,706,000 average. The Sylvania 300 was the second race in the 10-event Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.
Greensboro, N.C., was the nation’s highest-rated metered market for the race telecast with an 8.0 rating, with Greenville, S.C., second at 6.9 and Indianapolis third at 6.2. Birmingham, Ala., was fourth at 6.0 with Raleigh-Durham, N.C., fifth at 5.9.
Rounding out the top 10 markets were Charlotte, N.C., 5.4; Knoxville, Tenn., 4.9; Tulsa, Okla., 4.6; Nashville, Tenn., 4.5 and Dayton, Ohio, 4.3.
Saturday night’s NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Kentucky Speedway near Cincinnati aired on ESPNEWS and earned a 0.5 U.S. household rating, averaging 708,000 viewers. Last year’s race, which also aired on ESPNEWS, earned a 0.6 rating with 837,000 average viewers.
