NASCAR Kansas TV Ratings (Update)
The rating and viewership were down from last year's race, which earned a 2.6 rating and averaged 4,162,000 viewers.
Greensboro, N.C., was the highest-rated of the nation's 56 metered markets with a 6.4 rating, followed by Greenville, S.C., at 5.9 and Dayton, Ohio, at 4.9. Raleigh-Durham, N.C., and Tampa-St. Petersburg tied for fourth at 4.8.
Rounding out the top 10 local markets were Orlando, Fla., Tulsa, Okla., and Charlotte, N.C., tied at 4.6, Indianapolis at 4.5 and Jacksonville, Fla., Nashville, Tenn., and Birmingham, Ala., tied at 4.4.
ESPN's live telecast of the NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Kansas Speedway on Saturday, Oct. 4, earned a 1.0 U.S. rating, averaging 1,539,000 viewers, both down from last year's 1.1 rating and viewership average of 1,629,000.
10/06/14 ESPN saw a ratings decrease for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway. The net earned a 2.0 overnight rating from 2:00-5:30pm for Joey Logano's fifth win of the season, down 13% from a 2.3 number for Kevin Harvick's victory last year.
