Talladega Looms for NASCAR Sprint Cup Series; Four More Drivers Face Chase Elimination

The most unpredictable race in the 10-race Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup looms at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway, NASCARs biggest racetrack, with a 500-mile event on Sunday, Oct. 19. ESPN will have a live telecast from the 2.66-mile track with NASCAR Countdown at 1 p.m. ET and the green flag in Chase Race No. 6 at 2:19 p.m. The race is extremely important for Chase drivers as four more will be eliminated from championship contention based on how they finish in the event. Also from Talladega, NASCAR Sprint Cup qualifying will air on ESPNEWS on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 4:30 p.m. All NASCAR programming on ESPN and ESPNEWS is available on computers, smartphones, tablets, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Xbox 360 and Xbox One via WatchESPN, accessible to fans who receive ESPN’s linear networks as part of their video subscription from an affiliate provider.

Three NASCAR Sprint Cup Races to Air Live in Spanish

ESPN Deportes will air live telecasts in Spanish of three of the last five races in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup starting with the race at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway on Sunday, Oct. 19, at 2 p.m. ET. ESPN Deportes also will air live telecasts of the Oct. 26 event at Martinsville, Va., and the Nov. 9 event in Phoenix. The network airs all NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series races but normally on a delayed basis. The leading multimedia, Spanish-language sports brand dedicated to providing the widest variety of sports to the U.S. Hispanic sports fan, ESPN Deportes is the highest rated and most watched Spanish-language sports cable network, currently available in 6.1 million Hispanic HHs.
