U.S. F1 Grand Prix Records Average Ratings On German Free-TV Channel RTL

Hamilton and Rosberg have made a complete mockery of the 2014 F1 season in their German cars

German free-to-air TV channel RTL "recorded only average ratings for its broadcast of the U.S. F1 Grand Prix on Sunday evening," according to Sidney Schering of QUOTENMETER. The race attracted 4.13 million viewers starting at 9:05pm. The number translated into a market share of 12.6%. The pre and post-race coverage attracted 2.51 million and 1.79 million viewers, respectively.

The resulting market shares were 7.1% and 8.4%. In the target demographic 14-49, the race, which was won by Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton, obtained a market share of 12.1% as 1.57 million viewers tuned in.
