Juncos Racing tests at Palm Beach International

Indianapolis, IN (January 11, 2015) – Ready to turn their first laps in the Mazda powered Indy Lights cars, Juncos Racing is set to test the new Dallara IL-15 at Palm Beach International Raceway (PBIR) this week. Juncos Racing drivers Spencer Pigot and Kyle Kaiser move up the “Mazda Road to Indy" ladder to the Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires series, after a successful 2014 season with the Pro Mazda Presented by Cooper Tires. The Indy Lights test takes place January 13-14th on the 2.034-mile, 11-Turn road course at PBIR located in Jupiter, Florida.

American Kyle Kaiser, 18, will make his first run behind the wheel of the #18 Juncos Racing Indy Lights car. Kaiser, who competed with Juncos Racing in the 2014 Pro Mazda Championship, is looking forward to learning the new car and excelling into the next level.

“I’m excited to finally drive the car," said Kaiser. “I know the test will mostly be a shakedown and making sure everything runs properly, but it’ll still be fun to start learning the new car."

American Spencer Pigot, 21, who will pilot the #12 Juncos Racing car, is set to make his first appearance in the new Indy Lights car. Pigot first tested in the Indy Lights series at the 2014 Chris Griffis Mazda Road to Indy Memorial Test prior to the release of the Dallara IL-15.

“I’m really excited to get to PBIR and drive the Mazda powered IL-15 for the first time," said Pigot. “We’ve been working on the car for a while now in the shop and now we finally get to drive it. Hopefully we can get a lot of laps in and start to develop the car for the season. It’s been a while since I last drove the car so I can’t wait for Tuesday."

Since the end of a very successful 2014 season, Juncos Racing has tripled in size expanding in all departments. Team Owner, Ricardo Juncos, is confident the team is prepared to take the 2015 season to the next level.

“The upcoming PBIR test marks a historical moment for Juncos Racing," said Juncos. “It symbolizes the growth that has occurred over the long off-season, the team has nearly tripled in size and every single department has grown in strength. I feel the team is more than prepared than it has ever been entering into a championship and we plan to demonstrate this come the first round in St. Petersburg."

The Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires kicks off the 2015 season March 28-29th on the Streets of St. Petersburg, Florida. For more information please visit juncosracing.com and promazdachampionship.com.
