Rolex 24: Honda powered Ligier tops 2nd practice
Negri was quicker in the second practice than in the first, with 1:39.629 a mere 0.004 of a second faster than he was in the opening practice. Still, as he was in the opening practice, Negri was the only driver in the 1:39 bracket.
Joao Barbosa took the No. 5 Action Express Racing Corvette DP into second with Olivier Pla third in Krohn Racing's No. 57 Ligier JS P2 Judd.
Colin Braun took the No. 54 CORE autosport Oreca FLM09 to the top in Prototype Challenge, with other class leaders Oliver Gavin in the No. 4 Corvette Racing Corvette C7.R (GT Le Mans) and Jeroen Bleekemolen in the No. 33 Riley Motorsports Dodge Viper GT3-R (GT Daytona).
No red flags interrupted the 30-minute session. Qualifying begins with GTD out first at 4 p.m. ET, and concluding by 5:30 p.m. ET with the end of the P class session.
