Daniel Hemric gets full time NASCAR truck ride with NTS

Daniel Hemric will be racing full time on the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series this season.

The 24-year-old Kannapolis racer will drive the No. 14 Chevy Silverado for NTS Motorsports fulltime in the truck series. He will also race in three ARCA races for NTS, including at Daytona in the No. 92 Chevy Impala.

Ryan McKinney will be the crew chief for Hemric. California Clean Power is the primary sponsor for Daytona and the next race at Atlanta.

Hemric's career highlights include championships in the Southern Super Series (2013), Legends Pro National (2008 & 2009), Legends Pro Summer Shootout (2012 & 2013), Blizzard Series (2013), JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour (2012) and a victory in the 2010 Legends Million at Charlotte Motor Speedway, winning $250,000, the largest paycheck in Legends car history.

More sponsorship is expected to be announced following those races, according to the announcement made by NTS Motorsports Monday.

2012 truck champion James Buescher will be racing in NTS' #31 truck part time this season. That truck will be on the circuit fulltime.

Hemric is not the only former Legends Summer Shootout series driver running in the truck series.

NTS will also field a part time truck ride with #20. Stateville's Gray Gaulding will be in the driver's seat for eight races and Scott Lagasse Jr. for two.

Gaulding, 16, will continue to be sponsored by Krispy Kreme Doughnuts and is also running the full NASCAR K&N Pro Series East for NTS.

NTS Motorsports began in California and now has its NASCAR teams based out of a shop in Kernersville.
