Earnhardt and Hamlin fail post qualifying inspection

The cars of 2014 Daytona 500 winner Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and Denny Hamlin both failed post-qualifying inspections for today's Coors Light Daytona 500 Qualifying. The #88 Nationwide Chevrolet of Earnhardt did not meet minimum height requirements, while the #11 FedEx Toyota exceeded the track bar split by 0.75 inches.

Both drivers will need to go to the back of their respective duel races in Thursday's Budweiser Duel at Daytona. Earnhardt earned the fifth grid position for Race 2, while Hamlin was on the outside of the first row for Race 1.
