Winterfest: Tan wins Pro Mazda Race 2

Andretti Autosport's Weiron Tan won Pro Mazda Race 2 of Cooper Tires Winterfest today at New Orleans Motorsports Park. The Malaysian started on the outside of the front row, and was able to overtake pole sitter and Race 1 winner Jack Aitken at the start.

M1 Autosport's Nicolas Latifi was able to move up from the seventh grid position to finish second. Juncos racing's Will Owen finished third for the second straight race. Aitken and Joe Gutierrez rounded out the top-5.

About half the race was run under caution, as a first lap accident involving Garett Grist, Daniel Burkett and Carlos Conde resulted in an extended caution period.

Race 3 for the Pro Mazda Series will be at 4:30 p.m. ET.
