Fan announcements made at Texas Motor Speedway Media Day

Texas Motor Speedway President Eddie Gossage announced during Tuesday's Media Day at the House of Blues that the track will provide NASCAR fans with a new experience for the upcoming Duck Commander 500 weekend.

Gossage said that "NLTX All Access" will be held on Thursday, April 9, to officially kick off the race weekend at the 1.5-mile speedway.

The event, which already had a pair of NASCAR XFINITY Series practices on the schedule, will now include several fan enhancements, including a Q&A, photo and autograph session with the drivers and a peak inside the garage as teams prepare their cars for the O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 and Duck Commander 500 NASCAR doubleheader weekend.

In addition, a special Dale Earnhardt movie presentation will be held on “Big Hoss TV." Fans will be have access to roam the XFINITY Garage from 1-3 p.m. before the series goes on track for two practice sessions (3:30-4:30 p.m., 5:30-7 p.m.). The Sprint Cup garage will be open from 4:30-5:30 p.m. and fans will be able to see the cars going through tech inspection.

A driver Q&A session hosted by Top Gear's Rutledge Wood will take place from 7:30-8:30 p.m. in the Legends Corner infield hospitality area and feature Carl Edwards, Kyle Larson, Greg Biffle and Jamie McMurray.NASCAR drivers Danica Patrick, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Justin Allgaier will conduct an autograph session for the first 225 fans at the Gate 4 concourse from 4:30-5:30 p.m.

The event also showcased and previewed the upcoming racing season at TMS. The Team Penske duo of Joey Logano (NASCAR) and Will Power (IndyCar) were among the drivers that were present for Tuesday's TMS Media Day.

Other drivers that were present included, NASCAR XFINITY Series rookie driver Darrell Wallace Jr., the first African-American to win a NASCAR national series event since 1963; Two-time defending NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion Matt Crafton and Red Bull Air Race World Championship's youngest pilot Pete McLeod.Logano won last year’s Duck Commander 500 race at TMS and is also the reigning Daytona 500 champion while Power is the defending Verizon IndyCar Series champion.

Country music star Casey Donahew, who will headline the Loud and Proud Pre-race Show presented by AMDRO, was present and spoke about his upcoming concert at TMS that will be held prior to the start of the Duck Commander 500.
