Qualifying

Of course, qualifying was determined by series entrant points as the session was cancelled. This in accordance with IndyCar rule 8.10.1.

One other item here on my list is we spoke with Scott Dixon before qualifying today and asked the three-time IndyCar champion about the air jack problem they had last week at St. Pete. Apparently the bodywork on the car got too hot during the race, which the team has reworked. Dixon sounded confident there would not be a reoccurrence of the issue.

We're hearing that there may be some changes to the schedule tomorrow due to the weather and cancellations. The Pro Mazda race scheduled for today was rained out. Also, they are expecting major rain down here for Monday so it’s likely that whatever needs to happen will happen tomorrow.
