Harvey wins Indy Lights pole

Jack Harvey earns his second pole of 2015

With a lap of 1:15.064 seconds Schmidt Peterson Motorsports' Jack Harvey earned pole position for today's Race 1 of the Mazda Grand Prix of Indianapolis Presented By Cooper Tires. It was the second pole of 2015 for Harvey who also earned the first starting position at Long Beach.

Carlin's Ed Jones, who won the first three races of 2015, qualified second 0.14-seconds behind Harvey. 8StarMotorsports' Sean Rayhall was third. Carlin's Max Chilton and SPM's R.C. Enerson rounded out the top-5.

It was a disappointing session for series championship leader Spencer Pigot. The Orlando native, who dominated both races at Barber recently could only manage a sixth place effort.

The green flag for today's race is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. ET. Harvey, who has scored four second-place finishes so far in 2015 will look to earn his first victory.
