Quotes | Cole Custer
"We were all thrilled to get a win last weekend, but it's a new week and a new race and we're focused on having a solid race. I hope we bring a little stronger truck and can stay up front the whole race. We're actually bringing the same truck we won with last week to Iowa. The guys did a good job turning it around in time."
Notes | No. 00 Team
CUSTER NABS FIRST WIN OF 2015: Cole Custer's victory at Gateway Motorsports Park last weekend with the No. 00 Haas Automation Chevrolet marked his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) win of 2015 and second career victory in the series. Along with Kasey Kahne's triumph in the No. 00 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, JR Motorsports now owns two victories in only four NCWTS starts.
CHASSIS NO. 229 The Haas Automation team will unload chassis 229 this weekend in Iowa. Custer has won two NCWTS races with this chassis (Gateway 2015 and New Hampshire Motor Speedway in 2014).
SUCCESS AT IOWA: Custer has accumulated an impressive resume in K&N Pro Series East (KNPSE) competition at Iowa. He earned his first series win there in 2013 after claiming the pole and leading all of the race's 150 laps. In four KNPSE starts at the facility, he's notched one victory, three top five and three top-10 finishes with one pole. His average finish is 4.8 with 234 laps led.
