Duran joins Liuzzi at Trulli Formula E

Salvador Duran will switch to the Trulli Formula E team for the second season of the all-electric race series.

The former Amlin Aguri driver will partner Italian Vitantonio Liuzzi – who competed in five Formula E races towards the end of season one.

"I'm very happy to join the Trulli team and I'm super excited about the new season and Trulli's new powertrain Motomatica JT-01," Duran said who finished 21st in season one with a best result of sixth in Moscow. "I'm hoping that we can be contending for the front positions and can't wait to do my first test."

Team principal Lucio Cavuto added: "We are very happy to have Salvador on board. He's a driver that we were looking at last year, and we have been very impressed with his improvements during the championship. We are very glad that he trusts us despite two difficult tests. But once we introduced him to our project and he saw how hard we're working and that our project is very ambitious. We're really look forward to having him in our car and in the team and the fact that he knows the category will give him a lot as we won't be able to give him a lot of time in the car during pre-season testing."

The team is expected to take part in pre-season testing at Donington Park later today, its first running using the new powertrain.
