Saturday notes from Sonoma
Will Power en route to career pole #42 |
A few quick notes from Saturday in Sonoma:
–Will Power went out on black tires after Josef Newgarden set his fast time on reds, so Power was very quick on both reds and blacks.
–The pole position was the 42nd of Power's career, which is all the more impressive when you realize tomorrow's race will only be his 155th career start.
–Scott Dixon was not happy with his Chip Ganassi Racing teammate Tony Kanaan after both were eliminated in second round qualifying. I did not get a chance to find out exactly what the bone of contention was.
–I have heard again from several people that Josef Newgarden will be going to Ganassi next season, but I'm still not sure exactly where he fits in with the team.
