Newgarden to stay with Carpenter Fisher Hartman Racing for 2016

Josef Newgarden confirmed to Motorsport.com that he's staying with Carpenter Fisher Hartman Racing for 2016.

An official announcement is expected sometime this week.

"My future is where you expected it to be," Newgarden told Motorsport, "and I'm happy about that. Obviously teams like Ganassi and Penske are appealing, given their heritage, but there's also a lot of satisfaction from helping to take a younger team into the winner's circle. It's so fulfilling finding success in that way."

Although he'll be with CFH in 2016, Newgarden's long-term future is far from set. Rumors around the paddock suggest he's hoping for something to open up with Ganassi, Penske or Andretti for 2017.
