Atlanta Motor Speedway Offers Temperature-Based Ticket Credits For Sprint Cup Race
Attendance for this season's Sprint Cup Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 on Mar. 1 "was affected by temperatures in the mid-40s." Texas Motor Speedway since '13 has had a "similar policy for races that are postponed, but this is the first time that a racetrack has given fans an opportunity to skip a race if it is cold."
According to AMS officials, the race last year was "only the second time in the past 15 years where the high temperature didn't reach 50 degrees."
The offer is "good for each of its race days — the doubleheader of the Xfinity Series and Camping World Truck Series races Feb. 27 and the Sprint Cup race Feb. 28." The track also announced an "average ticket-price reduction" of 15%, with "all seats now under $100." ESPN.com
