Adderly Fong joins Carlin’s GP3 line up for Abu Dhabi

Adderly Fong

Carlin's GP3 team are happy to welcome Adderly Fong to the team for the season finale of the 2015 GP3 Series. The Hong Kong born racer will line-up in Jann Mardenborough's car, alongside Antonio Fuoco and Mitch Gilbert. Mardenborough misses the season finale due to a pre-arranged GT test.

Having raced professionally since 2004 Fong has previous experience in Formula Three, Auto GP, the GT Asia Series and was recently announced as a Lotus Formula One development driver – a role which sees him become the first ever Formula One development driver from Hong Kong. His Formula One ties have also seen him make a Free Practice debut at the 2014 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix for the Sauber Formula 1 Team.

Fong's experience in the GP3 Series over the previous three seasons means that he is in the perfect position to join the team for the final race of the 2015 season.

Trevor Carlin commented, "We've known for some time that Jann wouldn't be able to compete in Abu Dhabi and thank him for his contribution to the team this season.

In his absence, we're very happy to welcome Adderly to the team and look forward to working with him throughout the weekend. Adderly is a driver we have raced against for many years and it's great to have him with us in a blue car this weekend for our final GP3 outing."
